Roblox Wikis

Independent Roblox wikis and tools

Independent sites include self-hosted game wikis, Miraheze projects, trading indexes, catalog browsers, and utilities that communities run on their own terms. Some wikis belong to the Independent Roblox Wiki Alliance (IRWA); many others stand on their own.

Independent Roblox Wiki Alliance

The Independent Roblox Wiki Alliance (IRWA) is a network of Roblox-focused wikis that operate outside corporate wiki platforms. It began as a small staff chat and grew into an organization that helps communities launch, migrate, and maintain documentation on their own terms.

IRWA is not a host and not every independent site in this directory belongs to it. Trading tools, solo wikis, and utilities can stay fully independent. Listings with the IRWA member badge are confirmed IRWA members.

Why independence matters

IRWA argues that wikis should serve readers and editors first. Self-hosted sites and transparent farms like Miraheze let communities set their own policies, keep editorial control, and avoid the ad load and platform limits common on corporate hosts.

How IRWA supports wikis

  • Project Independence

IRWA helps wikis govern themselves without profit-driven platforms deciding monetization, layout, or editorial direction.

  • Supporting Projects

Member wikis get shared tools, templates, setup guides, and hands-on support so communities can grow in their own style.

  • Connecting Creators

Staff from independent wikis share knowledge, troubleshoot together, and collaborate across games and genres.

Open-source tools

IRWA publishes software on GitHub for the wider Roblox wiki community. You do not need to be a member to use some of these projects.

  • RobloxAPI extension

Open-source MediaWiki extension that pulls Roblox game data, images, and player info into wiki pages through parser functions. Used by hundreds of wikis beyond full alliance membership.

  • IRWA templates

Shared alliance templates and styles deployed to member wikis through an automated bot, keeping cross-wiki navigation consistent.

  • Setup checklist and snippets

Practical MediaWiki setup guides and reusable CSS snippets for teams launching or migrating a wiki.

Membership

Full membership is selective. Wikis must be Roblox-focused, community-governed, and not hosted on Fandom. Applicants typically need dozens of quality articles, active editors, clear policies, and at least three months of history. Many independent wikis use IRWA tools without joining, and many strong independent projects choose never to apply.

See the joining criteria for the full requirements. IRWA partners with the Independent Wiki Federation and endorses community-friendly hosts like Miraheze.

About listings on this page

This directory mixes alliance wikis and non-member independent wikis. Only entries with the IRWA member badge have passed alliance review. Many independent projects choose to operate outside the alliance on purpose.
